ISS Payload Operations Engineer
2019-004-BE-SERV-OPS-OPE - Brussels, Belgium       

Part of the Brussel team at the B-USOC mission control centre from where scientific instruments on-board the International Space Station (ISS) are monitored and controlled, and science data received and processed, intermittently operating 24/7.

Qualification: degree in a relevant discipline - engineering, sciences, computer sciences.

Internships/Theses – Control Software
2019-008-BE-SYS-RMS-CSINT - Brussels, Belgium       

As a control software and robotics intern,  you would work on low-level control software for a wide variety of applications.

Qualifications: Depending on the Thesis/Internship’s scope of work, a selection of the following is desirable: On-going Master in robotics, mechatronics, software engineering, or equivalent; A background in control theory and practical experience developing control systems; Strong programming skills (C++, Python) on Linux Environment; Experience with ROS framework or other robotics middleware systems; Experience with git or other source code management systems.
 
Internships/Theses – Mechatronics

As a mechatronics and robotics intern, you would work on robotics system design for a wide variety of applications.

Qualifications: Depending on the Thesis/Internship’s scope of work, a selection of the following is desirable: On-going Master in robotics, mechatronics engineering, or equivalent; Experience with CAD tools such as Solidworks; Experience in integrated systems such as robotics, space hardware or aeronautics.
 
Marketing & Sales Intern

The position is in the International Commercial Experiment Service (ICE Cubes) Team to support the Marketing and Sales of flight opportunities to the International Space Station (ISS). The ICE Cubes Team promotes and sells flight opportunities to research organisations, industries, space agencies, academia and educational organisations.

Qualifications: Enrollment in third year (minimum) of Marketing, Business Management studies or equivalent; Knowledge of or a first experience with: Marketing strategies, Market identification and analysis, Customer Relationship Management tools; At ease with and interested in technical, scientific and space engineering aspects.

Training & Development intern

To support internal and external training projects, Space Applications Services is looking for a training and development intern.

Qualifications: Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Powerpoint, Word, Excel); Basic skills and understanding of multimedia, image, video and audio editing tools; Excellent command of written and spoken English; Basic understanding of training and development concepts; A degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent, or the capability and interest to work on technical subjects.
